Year of the Horse

One for the ladies in the main!

July - Sue

Came across a shop window at one of our favourite towns in the area, depicting a clothes line with miniature knitted clothes of various colours hanging on it. Underneath the line were an array of knitted animals, elephants, badgers, a rabbit and a mouse with a few balls of wool in the foreground. It seemed the badgers were trying to teach the other animals to knit but not knowing how to start and getting in a fix. A fun scene and a lot of thought and work put into it. The bottom photo is of a lovely antique chair decorated with bee stickers and having a very soft cushion made up of lots of coloured pompoms sewn together. The chair was part of a decorated Chair Trail throughout the town. A great idea!
Top photo is of a clever window display in a wool/haberdashery shop. The badgers are teaching the animals to knit it seems. The bottom picture is of a decorated chair outside the same shop with an unusual cushion. It was part of a ‘Chair Trail’ throughout the town. Great effort! Cool idea and I loved the bee stickers. A lot of work went into both.
