During April we decided to go to see Sir Winston Churchill’s grave at Bladon Parish Church, which is the church for Blenheim Palace. He is there along with other members of his family.
Inside the church is this beautiful window and all around the edge of the stained glass are small pictures, all with connections to Sir Winston, such as his favourite champagne, Pol Roger, art materials, reflecting his love of art, cigars, a World War 2 gas mask and many other things showing his interests and connections throughout his life. As it’s the 80th Anniversary of VE Day, our trip there seemed very relevant and poignant.
