Over August, we spent two weeks in France with some friends. One day we visited Saumur on the Loire. Saumur is home to the École de Cavalerie (Cavalry School) and the Cadre Noir, France's elite national equestrian academy. We nearly walked past this very grimey door to the Manège des Écuyers before our son pointed out the amazing artwork drawn in the muck.
