Flooded

In this simple black and white image we view a subway from within, looking towards the exit. The subway is partially flooded and the still water reflects the walls and the barrier that prevents motor vehicles from entering.
I submitted a selection of my photographs on the theme of 'Water and the environment' for an upcoming exhibition. The curator was most interested in this one. I'd actually taken the image to alert the flood wardens of Cirencester because, the locals told me, if the drains are maintained the subway does not flood.
