Though January is still mid winter - dark, cold and miserable - by the end of the month, the afternoons are already getting noticeably lighter.
It's always a surprise to see how quickly this transformation starts to occur, and how uplifting it feels.
This winter has been rather mild, and my thoughts have been turning towards the forthcoming Spring and looking forward to everywhere blooming with daffodils and tulips. ❤️
