Fritillary fanfare

Two fritillary flower heads, looking like upside down trumpets pointing at the grass. One is a deep purple and the other bright white.
Sun's out, blooms out. After a dreary few months and some sedentary time on the sofa it's been so good to get out and about. A walk at Stowe led us to a huge field of fritillaries.
