A big old sort-out has seen us uncover the cards I (or my parents) received for my birth, first Christmas and first birthday - a tiny selection of which are seen here. 1980s greetings cards were strangely old fashioned and, on reflection, pretty weird - with drawings of babies with enormous heads and eyes far too far apart, often depicted outdoors and in completely the wrong proportion to the natural world.
