November was a great month, spending much time with family and friends. One of the places we visited for the first time was Maldon. It's an ancient town (first mentioned in AD913) on the Blackwater estuary in Essex. Well worth a visit to see the many beautiful buildings, and Hythe Quay which is home to the largest collection of old Thames sailing barges.
