Due to some top-notch scheduling on my part, I found myself having to drive the whole length of Wales - from Cardiff to Llandudno - passing Llyn Clywedog en-route. I didn't know that's what it was at the time - I literally looked-up the name just now. It was nice to stop and take in the view because, it turns out, if you're doing a rural route in the very earliest hours of the morning, Google Maps will take you down some pretty obscure little lanes. Quite the adventure.
